Biological Sciences in Space (BSS) is published by the Japanese Society for Biological Sciences in Space, and publishes original and review papers dealing with all aspects of biological studies related to space.
Manuscripts are accepted regardless of society membership of the author, and on the understanding that the content has not been published or accepted for publication elsewhere. All manuscripts will be peer-reviewed by our editorial panel. This review process will take about one month, then the author is notified of the editorial decision with the reviewer’s comments. Depending on the month of publication of the next available issue, accepted manuscripts will usually be published within three months from the date of receipt of the final version by the Editor-in-Chief.
